Sauteed Honey Garlic Shrimp Recipe

Sauteed Honey Garlic Shrimp In Post

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 24 oz. shrimp, peeled and deveined with the tails on
  • 6 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
  • 3 tablespoons organic honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • ½ tablespoon chili powder
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine the honey, chili powder, lemon juice, a pinch of salt and black pepper in a bowl. You can also use red chili flakes or cayenne for spice in this honey garlic shrimp recipe.
  2. Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet and heat over medium.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and cook while stirring until softened and fragrant but not brown.
  4. Add the shrimp followed by the honey mixture.
  5. Cook for 4-5 minutes while tossing occasionally or until the tails are bright pink and the shrimp are opaque. The sauce will also thicken and coat the shrimp nicely during cook time.
  6. Add the butter or margarine and toss the shrimp one last time for even distribution.
  7. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  8. Remove the shrimp from the heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
  9. Serve.
